Our team began by performing an Initial Offsite Assessment, which includes analyzing satellite imagery of the property and street-level views, requesting on-site photographs when needed, and evaluating the roof type and potential obstructions. This step is essential for identifying the required materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure smooth installation.

After the initial offsite assessment, we received the customer’s approval on the job order and arranged the installation schedule with San Tan Valley, AZ Starlink installers.

- Install Starlink Standard dish
- Identify Starlink cable installation path
- Run Starlink 15m (49ft) Standard cable
- Use cable routing kit to ensure outdoor/indoor cable pass-through is professionally sealed
- Mount and Activate & set up the Starlink Gen3 WiFi mesh router & Power Supply
- Ensure Activation and cleanup while running updates, then
- Run Starlink Alignment & Speed Tests – document
- Orient the customer on how to use the Starlink App
- Test and document the installations with photos
Our Starlink installation experts arrived on schedule and conducted the Starlink Obstructions Test using the Starlink App. This critical step determines the optimal placement for the dish, ensuring a strong and reliable connection to the Starlink satellite network. The test yielded a “Good experience” rating, indicating that the selected location is well-suited for smooth streaming, browsing, video calls, and gaming. This confirmation guaranteed that the chosen site would provide the best connectivity and performance for the Starlink network.
We utilized a Cable Routing Kit to securely route the Proprietary Starlink Cable from the outdoor dish to the indoor Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router, bearing in mind the cable length and outdoor dish installation point. The routing path was carefully planned and executed to maintain the integrity of the cable and avoid exposure to potential environmental damage. The final indoor connection was positioned in the customer-approved location to optimize WiFi coverage and deliver a reliable, high-speed internet experience throughout the home.
At the customer’s request, we were able to reuse an existing faceplate that we drilled out to fit the grommet in nicely:

We then finished the outdoor cable routing to the dish, and the Starlink Standard (model) dish was installed using a Starlink pivot mount on the rooftop:
We activated the Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router through the Starlink app, customizing it with the customer’s preferred network name (SSID) and password. We also reviewed the Starlink app’s features, including accessing their SSID, resetting their password, conducting speed tests, refreshing or resetting the Starlink network, accessing the Snow Melt feature and addressing other inquiries to ensure they could effectively manage their new system.
Next, our team performed the Starlink Alignment Test to confirm the dish was precisely positioned for optimal satellite connectivity. This process involved evaluating the dish’s alignment and placement to ensure an unobstructed view of the sky, maximizing signal strength and overall performance.
Finally, the team conducted a basic Starlink Speed Test & a Starlink Advanced Speed Test to evaluate the internet connection quality. It looks like another successful professional Starlink installation and another happy customer!
It is important to note that Starlink may take up to 12 hours to synchronize fully for optimal performance. We generally try to wait at least 20-30 minutes while we clean up and address other tasks prior to running the speed tests so that initial updates can download and install, and the local Starlink can sync with the Starlink LEO satellite network.
