To begin, our team performed an Initial Offsite Assessment, which included analyzing satellite imagery of the property, requesting on-site photographs, and evaluating the roof type and potential obstructions. This step is essential for identifying the required materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure smooth installation.

• Starlink Equipment: Customer already purchased Starlink Standard kit
• With existing ISP, the customer wants to cover the entire home and extend the WiFi to the barn & horse stables.
• Suitable Mount: Non-penetrating rooftop mount
• Additional Equipment / Materials: 1 additional Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router

The SOW (scope of work):

• Install Starlink Standard Kit using a non-penetrating roof mount.
• Route the cable through existing conduit to inside (main house) MDF in closet.
• Extend to existing switch and bring online.
• Activate & mount Starlink Gen3 WiFi Mesh Routers.
• Extend the connection to the entire home and barn through existing switch in main house, should connect right up to TP-Link WAP/Routers in barn area via the WiFi range expanders.
• Orient the customer on how to use the Starlink App
• Test, label and document the installations with photos

Our Starlink installation team arrived and performed the Starlink Obstructions Test using the Starlink App. This essential step identifies the ideal placement for the dish to ensure a stable and reliable connection to the Starlink satellite network. The test returned a “Good experience” rating, confirming that the selected location is highly suitable for seamless streaming, browsing, video calls, and gaming. This validation ensured that the chosen site would deliver optimal connectivity and performance for the Starlink network.

The Starlink dish was securely installed on the roof using a non-penetrating roof mount, ensuring a stable and reliable setup without drilling or causing damage to the roof structure. This mounting solution utilizes weighted components to hold the dish in place, providing a durable and weather-resistant installation that maintains the roof’s integrity.

We utilized a Cable Routing Kit to securely route the Proprietary Starlink Cable from the outdoor dish to the indoor Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Routers. The routing path was planned and executed carefully to maintain the integrity of the cable and avoid exposure to potential environmental damage. The final indoor connection was positioned in the customer-approved location to optimize WiFi coverage and deliver a reliable, high-speed internet experience throughout the home.

We set up the Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router through the Starlink app, customizing it with the customer’s preferred network name (SSID) and password. Additionally, we provided the customer with a walkthrough of the Starlink app’s features, including accessing their SSID, resetting their password, conducting speed tests, refreshing or resetting the Starlink network, and addressing other inquiries to ensure they could effectively manage their new system.

Next, our team performed the Starlink Alignment Test to confirm the dish was precisely positioned for optimal satellite connectivity. This process involved evaluating the dish’s alignment and placement to ensure an unobstructed view of the sky, maximizing signal strength and overall performance.

Finally, the team conducted basic and advanced Starlink Speed Tests to evaluate the internet connection quality. It is important to note that Starlink may take up to 12 hours to synchronize fully for optimal performance.
